“The therapeutic potential of CBD is currently being explored for a number of implications…”
CBD is one of more than 100 active cannabinoid chemicals in the hemp plant. Unlike the main psychoactive cannabinoid in marijuana, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does not produce euphoria or intoxication. That is what makes it legal, and that is why it can be such one of the most important medical discoveries of the century.
Per a research paper titled “The Biology and Potential Therapeutic Effects of Cannabidiol” presented by Nora D. Volkow, Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse Senate Caucus on International Narcotics Control, CBD’s promising benefits are highlighted as potential treatment for several conditions.
In her paper she states, among other things, that:
Cannabinoids have their effect mainly by interacting with specific receptors on cells in the brain and body: the CB1 receptor, found on neurons and glial cells in various parts of the brain, and the CB2 receptor, found mainly in the body’s immune system. There is also growing evidence that CBD acts on other brain signaling systems, and that these actions may be important contributors to its therapeutic effects.
Pre-clinical research (including both cell culture and animal models) has shown CBD to have a wide range of potential benefits that are being heavily researched on a daily basis.
CBD Around the World
CBD is present in nabiximols which is approved throughout most of Europe and in other countries. Because of this, there is extensive information available with regard to its metabolism, toxicology, and safety.”
Cannabinoids are essential to your health, as they interact with the endocannabinoid system.
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids, which are endogenouslipid-based retrograde neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors, and cannabinoid receptor proteins that are expressed throughout the vertebrate central nervous system (including the brain) and peripheral nervous system.
Recent findings show that the endocannabinoid system does not just respond to the endocannabinoids produced in the body, but also respond to external cannabinoids like the phytocannabinoid cannabidiol, or CBD.
When you use any of the products from The Trusted Lab the cannabinoids In our formulas act upon CB1 and CBD2 receptors located throughout the body to produce a variety of potentially positive outcomes.

The CBD Extraction Process
In addition, it is important to know that not all CBD is created equal. The most common method of extraction by smaller and artisan producers is through solvents and chemicals, which not only result in a more cloudy, thicker, darker tincture, but it could potentially have left over chemicals that may not be so good for your body.
The GOLD standard for extraction of CBD is through a complex and costly CO2 process. CO2 extraction is achieved through high heat and pressurized carbon dioxide to pull the desired phytochemicals from a plant. The process pulls all of the essential cannabinoids, as well as terpene oils and waxes out of the plant.
Once we have extracted the most important elements, we then pass the resulting oil through a second purification process, which results in a clean, crisp looking, and pure quality oil which had little to no post-processing. This greatly differs CO2 from so many other toxic solvent products used for CBD extraction.
